About Redington Shores
Redington Shores is directly on the Gulf of Mexico. This island is just north of Redington Beach and south of Indian Shores in Pinellas County, Florida. Florida's West Coast is known for easy-living. Established in 1944, Redington Beach is what people look for in a waterfront community surrounded by the beauty of the Gulf of Mexico and Boca Ciega Bay. Redington Beach is bordered by beautiful beaches with Madeira Beach to the south and its sister beach North Redington Beach to the north. Gulf front condos and homes line the beach but you won't find many commercial building as there are only 2 in Redington Beach. There are about 800 single family homes on the bay side. Redington Beach and its mangrove lined barrier interior islands help protects the mainland. The Intracoastal Waterway winds gently through Redington Beach on the east side of Gulf Blvd and the Gulf of Mexico provides endless sunsets to the west. Redington Beach is one of Florida's most desirable waterfront communities and certainly ranked in the top 5 in Pinellas County. Centrally located south of Clearwater with Tampa International Airport just 40 minutes away, Clearwater is 25 to the north and St. Pete Beach is just a 20 minutes drive along Gulf Blvd to the south. Redington Beach is about 1 square mile and offers 4 parks, 5 public beaches with easy access and a community recreation center with basketball courts and a children’s playground. Unique and unobtrusive, Redington Beach has near 1800 residences and about 1900 people. It is made up of single-family dwellings and several low-rise condominiums. There are only two commercial properties in Redington Beach. A sister waterfront community is Redington Shores and North Redington Beach, just to the north.
