About Hernando
Hernando is located in Citrus County, skirting the southern edge of the Big Bend Region of Florida’s west coast. This community has about 8,000 people and 35 square miles within its borders. This town is most notably known for its 46 mile long biking trail called the Withlacoochee State Trail. This trail was built on the old Atlantic Coast Line Railroad. Several highways cross Hernando, such as US 41, West Norvell Bryant Highway, and State Road 200. At the intersection of US 41 and West Norvell Bryant Highway is the town’s business and entertainment district. For baseball enthusiasts, the Ted Williams Museum is located in Hernando.
